PhotoSort ("we," "us," or the "App") respects and protects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process when you use PhotoSort, the purposes of processing, the parties we share data with, and your rights and choices.

By using PhotoSort, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Operator note: "We/us" refers to the operator of PhotoSort identified in the developer/publisher information on the platform where you downloaded the App (e.g., the App Store listing).

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to all features and services of PhotoSort.

The App integrates third-party services (such as Apple App Store, Google Firebase, and advertising attribution or advertising platform SDKs). Third parties process data under their own privacy policies. We recommend that you review the relevant third-party privacy policies.

2. Data We Process

2.1 Photos & Media (Processed On-Device Only)

  • PhotoSort primarily processes photos locally on your device for organizing, filtering, and sorting.
  • We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos to our own servers.
  • We access your photos only after you explicitly grant permission via the system permission prompt.
  • You can revoke photo permissions at any time in system settings, or limit access to "Selected Photos" (when supported by iOS).

Note: If you intentionally export/share photos using iOS system share features, the third-party app/service you choose (e.g., Facebook, iMessage) will process the content under its own policies. This is not an upload or transmission by us.

2.2 Purchases & Subscription Information (Apple)

  • PhotoSort communicates with Apple App Store servers to verify purchases, subscription status, and restore purchases.
  • We do not obtain or store your payment card details, payment information, or billing address.
  • Transaction-related information is processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.

2.3 Advertising Identifier (IDFA) & Ad-Related Data (Only After ATT Authorization)

If you allow App Tracking Transparency ("ATT"), we will access and use:

  • Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)
  • Data related to ad delivery, ad attribution, and ad performance measurement (e.g., ad clicks/impressions/conversion events)
  • Data related to preventing ad fraud or abnormal traffic (e.g., device and app event data)

We use this information to:

  • Perform ad attribution (e.g., determining whether an install/subscription came from a specific ad)
  • Optimize ad delivery and evaluate ad performance
  • Prevent ad fraud or abnormal traffic

If you decline ATT:

  • We will not access IDFA and will not use IDFA for ad attribution or ad optimization
  • Ad attribution and optimization capabilities may be limited
  • Third-party ad platforms may still perform non-IDFA attribution/measurement via Apple-provided mechanisms (e.g., SKAdNetwork). This does not involve us accessing your IDFA.

2.4 Diagnostics & Analytics Data (Firebase)

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to improve App stability and performance.

Firebase may collect:

  • Basic device information (device model, OS version, language, time zone, etc.)
  • App information (app version, runtime state, etc.)
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data
  • Usage event data (e.g., feature taps, page views)
  • Network-related information (e.g., IP address) for security, analytics, and service provision
  • Identifier-related information, such as an App instance identifier; on iOS, it may also use IDFV (Identifier for Vendors) for analytics, anti-fraud, and service stability purposes
  • If you allow ATT and the system provides IDFA, and we/third parties have enabled relevant ad attribution or measurement capabilities in the current version, IDFA may be used; if you do not allow ATT, we will not access IDFA for advertising purposes.

2.5 Data We Do Not Proactively Collect

  • The App does not require account registration.
  • We do not proactively collect your name, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
  • We do not ask you to provide sensitive identifiers such as government ID numbers.

3. How We Use Data

We process data for the following purposes:

  1. Provide core photo organizing features (primarily processed on-device)
  2. Verify purchases/subscriptions and restore purchases
  3. Analyze usage to improve product experience
  4. Crash troubleshooting and performance optimization
  5. Ad attribution and ad performance analysis
  6. Ad optimization and anti-fraud

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal information.

To provide necessary functionality, we share data with:

4.1 Apple (App Store)

Purpose: purchase/subscription verification; restore purchases
Data shared: information related to transaction verification (processed by Apple)

4.2 Google Firebase (Analytics / Crashlytics)

Purpose: analytics; crash reporting and diagnostics
Data shared:

  • Device and app information
  • Crash logs and diagnostic data
  • Usage event data
  • Network-related information (e.g., IP address)
  • App instance identifier / IDFV and other identifier-related information (for analytics, anti-fraud, and service stability)

4.3 Advertising & Attribution Partners

For ad attribution and ad optimization, we use third-party advertising/attribution services (which may include ad platform SDKs, attribution SDKs, and measurement/anti-fraud SDKs).

Data shared (after you allow ATT):

  • IDFA
  • Ad click/impression/conversion events
  • Basic device information and app event data (for attribution, anti-fraud, and optimization)

Note: The specific third parties depend on the SDKs integrated in the version you installed. We do not share your photo content with advertising/attribution partners.

5. Data Storage & Retention

  • Your photos remain on your device. We do not store your photos on our servers.
  • Analytics, crash, and advertising-related data may be retained by third parties (e.g., Firebase, ad/attribution providers) according to their policies; retention may also depend on our configuration in their dashboards (where supported).
  • The App does not create user accounts. Related data is typically processed per device or app instance rather than directly identifying a specific individual.

6. Your Choices & Controls

6.1 Photo Permission

In system settings, you can grant/revoke PhotoSort's photo access and choose "Selected Photos" access (when supported by iOS).

6.2 ATT (Allow Tracking)

When the system asks "Allow PhotoSort to track you?":

  • If you choose Allow, we will access IDFA for ad attribution and optimization
  • If you choose Ask App Not to Track, we will not access IDFA

You can change this choice at any time in system settings.

6.3 Uninstall

You can stop further data generation by uninstalling PhotoSort.

7. Your Privacy Rights

7.1 GDPR (EEA/UK and other applicable regions)

If GDPR applies to you, you may have rights including access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.

Legal bases may include your consent, contract necessity, and our legitimate interests (product improvement, analytics, security, anti-fraud).

Additional notes:

  • Cross-border transfers/processing may occur via third-party providers; we will take compliance measures as required by applicable law.
  • You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely based on App data; ad/attribution partners may process device/app event data for measurement, attribution, or audience grouping under their own policies.

7.2 California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (for cross-context behavioral advertising), and non-discrimination.

Important: PhotoSort shares IDFA and related event data with advertising/attribution services for ad performance analysis and optimization. Under CCPA/CPRA, this may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise these rights, you can:

  • Decline or withdraw ATT authorization in iOS settings (so we do not access IDFA and you opt out of IDFA-based sharing/measurement), and/or
  • Contact us with a privacy request: info@neku.cc (recommended subject: "Privacy Request"). Where feasible, we will assist, subject to third-party capabilities and legal requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

PhotoSort is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If the App contains ads, we do not intentionally show interest-based targeted ads to children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect changes. If there are material changes, we may notify you via in-app notice or other reasonable means.
